Editorial standards
CourtLinked is not a law firm. What we are is a document preparation service that has filed more than 100,000 cases since 2004 — and that operational experience is what our guides are built on.
Every state guide, limit and filing fee is checked against the state court’s own forms, fee schedules and statutes — not against other legal marketing sites. Where a figure varies by county, we say so.
State guides carry a last-reviewed date. When a legislature changes a dollar limit or fee schedule, we update the guide and the date, and the article that explained the old rule is retired or rewritten.
CourtLinked has been preparing and filing documents nationwide since 2004. Our editorial team is made up of document specialists and paralegals who work on live filings every week.
When two articles answer the same question, we merge them into one definitive guide and redirect the older URL, so you are never reading an outdated version.
If a limit, fee or procedure on this site is out of date, tell us and we will correct it. Email support@courtlinked.com with the page and the correct figure. Corrections are reviewed and published with an updated review date.
CourtLinked.com, Inc. is a legal document preparation service, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Court rules and limits change; always confirm with the court before filing.
